Football and Futsal are two different sports! There are a number of benefits for football by encouraging young people to play Futsal as part of a balanced training programme to improve their overall technical development.
Futsal helps speed of decision-making, technical skills and creative thinking, which the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Ronaldinho, Messi, De Gea and Ronaldo have all acquried through childhood Futsal!
"Research indicates that individual’s playing Futsal receive the ball six times more often than they would do when they are playing 11-a-side football, allowing players to perform more individual techniques such as passes, controls, fakes, feints, dribbles and runs with the ball (Liverpool John Moores University, 2001)."
“During my childhood in Portugal, all we played was Futsal. The small playing area helped me improve my close control, and whenever I played Futsal I felt free. If it wasn’t for Futsal, I wouldn’t be the player I am today.”
Cristiano Ronaldo

Supported ability football at Kewford is for players with a physical or non-physical disability or an additional need. It's a very broad collection of players we're proud to have! We're a friendly bunch, and our aim to truly ensure football is for all.
We train on Sunday mornings, and in normal times our teams compete in the new West Midlands Inclusion League too. But the focus is on getting involved and hopefully having fun!
We have FA-qualified coaches, DBS checked.
We run teams for players aged 8+. We accept players from 7+, but can't offer competitive matches until they're 8 at the moment.
We have teams for adults, U20/1, U16, U14 and U12. The focus is on inclusion, so don't worry if you're not Mbappe-level. We just want you to enjoy your football in a welcoming environment.

In 1978, the Club was formed with one eleven a'side team, at Under 11, from a merger of Quarry Bank and Kingswinford Scouts. Hence the name - 'Q' ford!
